Plantings
Depending on pruning, the Wilson Bros Gardens High Fragrance Camellia can be grown as a big shrub or small tree, reaching heights of 5 to 8 feet and widths of 5 to 8 feet. As a shrub, it works well in groupings as a background plant or hedge and looks especially lovely as an espalier (trained to grow flat against a wall.) When "limbed up" to become a little tree, it makes a lovely and vibrant specimen for planting in landscape borders and on home foundations. Excellent for cottage gardens, cut flower gardens, framing corners, planting as a solitary specimen shrub or tree, windbreak plantings, screen plantings, home foundations, woodland gardens, and woodland borders.
The majority of clematis species lose their leaf in the cool months since they are deciduous, however the Snowdrift is an evergreen! But the distinctive qualities don't end there. The magnificent fragrant, star-shaped, pure white blooms of Snowdrift are borne profusely in mid to late winter and persist through early April, unlike the majority of other clematises, which flower in spring or summer. The blossoms contrast the deep green leaves attractively. Which brings up a further distinctive quality. While the majority of clematis have modest leaves, Snowdrift has elongated leaves that are enormous and shiny, giving the garden a tropical feel. Snowdrift Clematis will soon cover arches, fences, pergolas, and other buildings as it vigorously grows up to 20 feet in length.
The Wilson Bros Gardens Purple Pillar Rose of Sharon is absolutely unusual in that it grows in an upright columnar style, making it an exclamation point in your garden. This stunning plant, which took home the Silver Medal at the Plantarium exhibition, blooms profusely all summer long with brilliant bi-color flowers in shades of purple and red, giving even more beauty to the landscape. You'll also get praise from the hummingbirds and butterflies for including this one in your yard.
